Low-autofluorescence, transparent composite for multiphoton 3D printing

چکیده

Multiphoton lithography allows the high resolution, free-form 3D printing of structures such as micro-optical elements and scaffolds for Tissue Engineering. A major obstacle in its application these fields is material structure autofluorescence. Existing photoresists promise near zero fluorescence at expense poor mechanical properties, low efficiency. Sudan Black B a molecular quencher used dye biological studies means decreasing autofluorescence polymers. In our study, we report use both photoinitiator post-fabrication treatment step, using zirconium silicate SZ2080 development non-fluorescent composite. We this elements, meso-scale mesenchymal stem cell cultures. Our results show that photosensitive hybrid can be fabrication highly transparent, autofluorescence-free microstructures.

A Simple, Low-Cost Conductive Composite Material for 3D Printing of Electronic Sensors

3D printing technology can produce complex objects directly from computer aided digital designs. The technology has traditionally been used by large companies to produce fit and form concept prototypes ('rapid prototyping') before production. In recent years however there has been a move to adopt the technology as full-scale manufacturing solution. The advent of low-cost, desktop 3D printers su...

3D Printing of Transparent and Conductive Heterogeneous Hydrogel-Elastomer Systems.

A hydrogel-dielectric-elastomer system, polyacrylamide and poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), is adapted for extrusion printing for integrated device fabrication. A lithium-chloride-containing hydrogel printing ink is developed and printed onto treated PDMS with no visible signs of delamination and geometrically scaling resistance under moderate uniaxial tension and fatigue. A variety of designs ar...

Designing bioinspired composite reinforcement architectures via 3D magnetic printing

Discontinuous fibre composites represent a class of materials that are strong, lightweight and have remarkable fracture toughness. These advantages partially explain the abundance and variety of discontinuous fibre composites that have evolved in the natural world. Many natural structures out-perform the conventional synthetic counterparts due, in part, to the more elaborate reinforcement archi...

Multimaterial magnetically assisted 3D printing of composite materials

3D printing has become commonplace for the manufacturing of objects with unusual geometries. Recent developments that enabled printing of multiple materials indicate that the technology can potentially offer a much wider design space beyond unusual shaping. Here we show that a new dimension in this design space can be exploited through the control of the orientation of anisotropic particles use...

Optimising low molecular weight hydrogels for automated 3D printing.

Hydrogels prepared from low molecular weight gelators (LMWGs) are formed as a result of hierarchical intermolecular interactions between gelators to form fibres, and then further interactions between the self-assembled fibres via physical entanglements, as well as potential branching points. These interactions can allow hydrogels to recover quickly after a high shear rate has been applied. Ther...
